JULY 31ST – 7:30pm

Alabama will take the stage. It’s been 40 years since a trio of young cousins left Fort Payne, Alabama, to spend the summer playing in a Myrtle Beach, South Carolina bar called The Bowery. Alabama is the band that changed everything and was revolutionary in more than one sense. They brought youthful energy, sex appeal and a rocking edge that broadened country’s audience and opened the door to self-contained bands. The awards and plaudits they’ve earned through the years have been legion. They include more than 150 major industry nods, including three Grammys, the Minnie Pearl Humanitarian award, Entertainer of the Year awards three times from the CMA and five times from the ACM, as well as the latter’s Artist of the Decade award. They earned 21 Gold ®, Platinum ® and Multi-Platinum ® albums and were named the RIAA’s Country Group of the Century. It’s been 14 years since Alabama has delivered a new album and Southern Drawl skillfully walks the line between the fresh and familiar, featuring a potent collection of songs for a new generation of Alabama lovers while also giving longtime fans plenty of reasons to rejoice.  Alabama has sold over 73 million albums and scored 43 No. 1 hits, populating radio with such classics as “Feels so Right,” “Old Flame,” “Mountain Music,” “Lady Down on Love,” “40 Hour Week (For a Livin’),” “I’m in a Hurry (And Don’t Know Why),”
and “Song of the South.”

Hit Songs: “Dixieland Delight”, “Mountain Music”, and “If You’re Gonna Play In Texas”
